Fukuchiyama City and the Panasonic Group jointly launched an initiative to develop 'human- and environment-friendly school lunch tableware' using materials from the SDGs era.

Fukuchiyama City, the Manufacturing Innovation Division of Panasonic Holdings Corporation and Panasonic Production Engineering Corporation (hereafter referred to as the Panasonic Group) have agreed and signed a collaboration agreement to promote SDGs initiatives and build a circular society through the development of school lunch tableware for 23 Fukuchiyama municipal elementary and junior high schools.

PPE and K-World-ism jointly develop 'soap dispenser' and 'soap dish'

Panasonic Production Engineering Co., Ltd. has jointly developed the washroom and bathroom goods "Soap dispenser: Albero" and "Soap dish" with K-World-ism Co. (Headquarter : Osaka, Company President : Kenji Sawai), utilising "kinari"*1, a moulding material in which plant-derived cellulose fibres are mixed into the resin at a high concentration of 55%. The products will be launched by the K-World-ism Lindpark division in early May.

Joint development with Sanyo Shokai's sustainable fashion brand ECOALF

Panasonic Corporation (hereinafter referred to as "Panasonic") has collaborated with ECOALF, a sustainable fashion brand developed by Sanyo Shokai Ltd (hereinafter referred to as "Sanyo Shokai"), to develop apparel wear buttons and cord locks using Panasonic's "kinari" cellulose fibre moulding material. The products will be used in jackets, trousers and storage packs for the ACT series, a Japan-only collection to be launched by ECOALF on 1 April.

Development of cellulose fibre moulding materials with a biomass content of over 90%

The Manufacturing Innovation Division of Panasonic Corporation has developed a moulding material [2] with a biomass content [1] of 90% or more by applying the technology developed so far for mixing plant-derived cellulose fibres into resin in high concentrations to plant-derived resin (biopolyethylene). By adding a high concentration of cellulose fibres to soft biopolyethylene, we have succeeded in achieving strength equivalent to that of conventional kinari*1 and also in developing it as a white material.
